  1. High level of professionalism? Being drunk is not professional, last time I checked. Maybe he got rid of the addiction, in which case, Kudos.
    Placing his badge where it would be seen seems to have been an attempt at mollifying the trooper, who to his credit was not swayed.
    The fact that the possession of a firearm while intoxicated was not pursued is troublesome: A person who is intoxicated is also unpredictable. The reason we have so many shootings is that the gun charge is the first thing that comes off or is pleaded out. It is dead wrong.

  2. Don’t matter , no law enforcement officer should have a criminal record. That privilege should be off the table. Just like a felon, there are lifetime consequences for actions. This “holier than thou” form of government needs to end if we are to have respect for authority, in my opinion!
