Wis Dems Pocan, Moore oppose bipartisan bill forcing Chinese sale of TikTok or ban

The top U.S. intelligence agency says China uses the popular phone app to influence American elections and “magnify U.S. societal divisions.”

  1. Mark Pocan and Gwen Moore are 100% correct. While we are singling out Tik Tok, Facebook, X, Instagram and other social media are doing the same. I do not feel that my data is any safer, and the same regulations ought to apply to all. If beyond that, the Chinese Communist Party is trying to influence our elections, the right response is to tighten regulations so that they can’t, so the none of the others can as well.
